Elida Road, right by the Lima mall, was closed off for a couple of hours Saturday night as the result of a three-vehicle crash. The crash happened a little after 7 p.m., causing traffic to be blocked off between the intersection at Cable Road and Hartzler Road. Officials with the American Township Fire Department at the scene didn't have a lot of details yet on what caused the accident, but one person involved did have to be transported to St. Rita's. That persons condition is unknown at this time. No one else was injured.
