Dana Incorporated says they will be closing the Lima facility in 2025. The company has confirmed that they are moving the production from the Lima plant, located at 777 Bible Road Lima, Ohio, to other plants in the United States by the end of 2025. The union workers were told about the move Wednesday morning. The plant has been in operation since 1970 and manufactures drive shafts for trucks and commercial vehicles.
All the Lima Rite Aid locations will be closing in September. In the latest round of bankruptcy court filings, the company announced that the Market Street and the Bellefontaine Street stores and the one in Delphos will be closing this fall. Besides Lima and Delphos, the locations Findlay, Ada, Kenton, and St. Marys have made it on the closure list since Rite Aid filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the fall of 2023. Over 500 locations have been announced to close nationwide.

Rite Aid has announced that more stores will be permanently closing across Ohio including one locally. According to documents from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the Rite Aid location at 1502 Executive Drive in St. Marys was included on that closure list with the store already putting up signs saying that everything must go.
The West Street Bridge between North Shore Drive and South Shore Drive/West Eureka St. will be closed beginning April 1st, 2024 and will remain closed for 150 calendar days with tentative reopening on August 28th, 2024. This closure includes both the roadway and Lima Rotary Riverwalk.
The truss bridge is scheduled to be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The closure is temporary so that the bridge can be inspected. The Allen County Engineer's Office is advising drivers to plan on an alternate route for that time because through traffic will be prohibited.
In Spencer Township, North Kill Road, between Union Road and Fruend Road, will be closed for the next six weeks. The engineer's office is preparing to replace a bridge deck. The closure will start Tuesday, September 22nd.
