LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Powerball jackpot has grown to almost 700 million dollars.
Nobody won last night's Powerball drawing, so the prize money has grown to 680 million dollars. If a lucky winner draws all six matching numbers tomorrow, it would be the tenth-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history! We spoke to a local lottery vendor, who said the rising jackpot brings more people in to take their chance for the money.
"Some people normally come in and buy but then as the jackpot gets higher, you can see them buying multiple or higher amounts. People I never see before, some of them never know exactly what they're buying," commented Jatanya Battle, supervisor at Fat Jack's Pizza.
The window to buy a ticket for this drawing closes Wednesday night, at 10:59 p.m.
