Nobody won last night's Powerball drawing, so the prize money has grown to 680 million dollars. If a lucky winner draws all six matching numbers tomorrow, it would be the tenth-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history! We spoke to a local lottery vendor, who said the rising jackpot brings more people in to take their chance for the money.

The Allen County Fairgrounds are packed for the second weekend in a row, this time for Max's Trader Days which is a paradise for shopaholics. The event is drawing in over 1800 vendors in what is their 14th year. The massive flea market usually draws in over 25,000 people each year and doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. One of the many vendors here tells us what they enjoy most about coming out.

The Mercer County Fair will take place until August 18th with a variety of events such as musical performances from Roots and Boots, as well as King and Country. A demolition derby is also planned for the week full of fair fun. Fair managers say that there is a bit of everything for everyone to enjoy this year.

Many vendors set up shop to sell a multitude of products such as fresh fruits, vegetables, jellies, jams, baked goods, popcorn, candles, and other homemade items. Also at the market, live music and food trucks made an appearance. With the participating vendors from the Lima region, a wide variety of benefits will be felt throughout the community.

If you’re looking for some cheap, weekend, family fun, look no further. Saturday, July 16th, Activate Allen County is once again hosting their free community-wide block party at the South Jackson Community Garden. Attendees can munch on some free hotdogs and chips while taking in a live performance by Stedic Music. Free art bags by ArtSpace Lima, and free food distribution by West Ohio Food Banks will also be available to those who attend. In addition, a bounce house, community vendors, health screenings, raffle prizes and more will be featured at the event.
