The Barn Artist is wrapping up and preparing to unveil his latest work.
Scott Hagan who calls himself "The Barn Artist" has been hard at work for the Johnny Appleseed Park District. The artist has been painting a new bicentennial logo on the recently renovated south barn of the Allen County Farm Park. Scott is returning to Allen County for the first time since 2003 when he painted the original logo on the barn, but the new logo is slightly different than the original bicentennial logo.
"IÂ called Scott back in March and talked to him on the phone for about 15 minutes and probably a half an hour later we had a logo together just based on what we were talking about."Â
"The new metal work on this barn there was going to have to be some changes just because of the color contrast, but just with the 'Welcome to Allen County', feel we thought that was really important, especially with State Route 81 driving by the farm," explained Hagan.
The barn was expected to be completed by Wednesday evening. Park officials say they are excited for more people to see it and take pictures during the Apple Festival, this fall.
