Allen County Commissioners are taking a tour of a downtown Lima building, looking for the right fit for the offices of child support enforcement. The decision to renovate their offices in the savings and loan building on the corner of West Market and Elizabeth Street has them needing temporary offices while the work is done. Several properties have been discussed, and today they took a tour of the former Chase offices in Cook Tower on West High Street.

With nearly four decades of service to Allen County and its children, one government official is saying it's time to finish this chapter of her life and start a new one. Longtime executive director of the Allen County Child Support Enforcement Agency, Lisa Merkle is retiring after 26 years heading up the department. She actually has the longest tenure of any CSEA director in the state.
