Allen County Commissioners are taking a tour of a downtown Lima building, looking for the right fit for the offices of child support enforcement.
The decision to renovate their offices in the savings and loan building on the corner of West Market and Elizabeth Street has them needing temporary offices while the work is done. "Right now we're just looking at size, trying to get an idea of those employees and the customers coming in if that's going to work for them. Then we'll have to sit down at the table and hash out numbers on how many offices and how it will all work," explained Cory Noonan, Allen County Commissioner.
The state is also involved in making the temporary location decision, and it's not all on the commissioners' shoulders.
Noonan says that the child enforcement agency offers some unique needs when it comes to the work they do. Next July is the anticipated time to start renovations in their current location.
