UPDATE: AUGLAIZE COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) — One person was killed and two others were seriously injured after an SUV pulled into the path of a motorcycle Friday evening in Auglaize County.

According to troopers from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 33 and state Route 65.

Investigators said an SUV was traveling north on state Route 65 when it attempted to turn left onto U.S. 33 and entered the path of a motorcycle carrying two people.

The passenger on the motorcycle, 26-year-old Alexandra Hover of Lima, was thrown from the bike and died at the scene. The motorcycle's driver, 22-year-old Khaled Haque of Lima, suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Troopers said the SUV driver, 69-year-old Raymond Jacquet of Florida, also sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the SUV was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.

Wapakoneta - The Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on June 12,2026, at approxirnately 7:37 p.m in Clay Township, Auglaize County, Ohio. The crash occurred on US Route 33 at the intersection of State Route 65.

Raymond Jacquet, age 69, of Orlando, Florida, was operating a 2014 Volkswagen, Tiguan. Sombert H. Esperance, age 24, of Lima, was a passenger in the Tiguan. Khaled A. Haque, age 22, of Lima, was operating a 2008 Kawasaki, Vulcan motorcycle. Alexandra N. Hover, age 26, of Litna, was a passenger on the Kawasaki

The preliminary investigation indicates the Tiguan was northbound on State Route 65 and the Kawasaki was eastbound on US Route 33. The Tiguan failed to yield the right of way from the stop sign posted on State Route 65 and was struck by the Kawasaki.

Jacquet was wearing a safety belt. He sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital by Uniopolis EMS. Esperance was not injured.

Haque was wearing a motorcycle helmet. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital by St. Johns EMS. Hover was wearing a motorcycle helmet. She sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. She was transported to Schlosser Funeral Home by St. Johns EMS.

The Auglaize County Sheriff's Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit, St. Johns Fire Department, Uniopolis Fire Department, Auglaize County Coroner's Office, Auglaize County CERT, and Nelson's Towing also responded to the crash.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash

The crash remains under investigation by the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
