LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — An 18-year-old wanted in connection with a shooting inside the Lima Meijer store has been taken into custody.
Dezzmin Cobb was booked into the Allen County Jail in the early morning of July 31 by the Lima Police Department. He is charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon. He is also facing possible charges for the June 29 shots fired incident at Meijer.Â
According to Allen County Sheriff's Office officials, Â a group of younger individuals entered the Meijer looking for an employee who worked there. The confrontation escalated and became physical.
A single shot was fired, and the individuals fled the store before law enforcement arrived. Investigators believe Cobb was the person who fired the shot.
Investigators said the victim later stopped cooperating with the investigation.
The Allen County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information about the other individuals who were with Cobb to contact the agency.
