The Lima Rotary Club continues to get closer to their donations goal for the community stage and green space project. Three more organizations announced donations to the rotary clubs amphitheater project. Tuttle Construction has pledged $25,000 while HCF Management and Your Hometown Stations each donated $10,000. With the new $45,000, the club president says they sit near $800,000 raised out of their $2.2 million goal. Construction on the land between Spring and Elm streets began in September and grass has already been planted.

A project being spearheaded by the Lima Rotary Club got some extra funding Monday afternoon. Greater Lima Region presented a check for $250,000 at the Rotary Club meeting. The money will go toward the amphitheater project, which hopes to revitalize that part of downtown Lima by bringing a green space between Spring Street and Elm Street, and that goal seemed like the perfect fit.

Part of the changes coming to downtown Lima is the planned Lima Rotary Community Stage and Park project. Tracie Sanchez gave an update on that project to the Allen Economic Development Group and the Lima-Allen County Chamber of Commerce.

It's an addition to downtown Lima. Many hope will bring more growth and development to the Lima region. The Lima Rotary getting an update on their amphitheater project. Soon dirt will be moving as demolition of two structures and the creation of the nearly 2 acres of green space is planned to be completed by the end of summer. It will be located on Union Street between Spring and Elm streets.
