An unusual incident for this part of the state, as a black bear was found dead back in November in Allen County. It appears that this female black bear was hit and killed by a vehicle on Amherst Road near the Hardin County line on November 25th. The Ohio Division of Wildlife says that black bears are common in Ohio but are located more in the northeast part of the state and along the Pennsylvania border heading south.
