DECA students at Lima Senior are getting in the Halloween spirit with students from Unity Elementary on Wednesday. Members of the Big Spartans Little Spartans program gathered in the parking lot to celebrate Halloween with their annual Trunk or Treat. The kids got to tour different trunk booths with educational games, prizes, and, of course, candy with their Big Spartans. Some of the bigs were dressed in costumes and played Halloween-themed music in their cars.
Students at Unity Elementary were treated to games and activities in the school's parking lot this morning(10/24/19) thanks to the Big Spartans Little Spartans program. Big Spartans Little Spartans is a mentoring program through Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio. The games were based out of the trunks of Lima Senior student’s cars and ranged from Spider-man to Minecraft themed. Kids had to apply what they have learned inside the classroom to receive a prize from each station.

The Big Spartans, Little Spartans and Spartan 360 programs have been pairing high schooler mentors with students from North Middle School and Unity Elementary School over the school year. Monday capped off those programs with an event that was both fun and educational, and the hope is that the younger kids will be able to keep what they've learned in mind for years to come.
