January 16, 2025, Press Release from the Delphos Police Department: On 1-05-2025 officers received a complained of subjects riding 4 wheelers on the roadway in the 1400 block of S. Clay St. On 1-05-2025 officers were sent to the 800 block of Skinner St, for a possible Domestic Dispute. On 1-06-2025 officers were sent to the 500 block of S. Main St, for an Unruly Juvenile complaint. On 1-06-2025 officers spoke with Management at a business in the 400 block of N. Main St, who reported that an ex-employee still had property belonging to the business and, requested assistance in retrieving the property.

On 10-16-2019 officers were sent to the 200 block of E. 3rd St, in reference to a male who was threatening to harm himself. Officers arrived and located the male, a juvenile, and after speaking with him, determined that he needed to be evaluated at the hospital. Family members agreed to take the juvenile to the hospital for treatment. On 10-18-2019 officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Clime St, for a Breaking and Entering complaint. Officers met with the homeowner and found that someone had entered her locked garage and stole items from inside the garage as well as from the vehicles parked inside. The incident was forwarded to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.
On 9-20-2019 a male contacted the police department stating that he received a call that his vehicle was taken from his residence while he was not home. Officers obtained the vehicle information and began searching the area for it. Approximately three hours later the complainant called and stated that the vehicle had been returned. The complainant gave officers the name of a person who may have taken the vehicle without his permission and the incident remains under investigation.

On 6-23-2019 officers were sent to the 900 block of Lima Ave, to assist in a neighbor dispute. Officers met with a male who stated that his neighbor’s children who live above him are dropping hazardous items on his property. Officers spoke with the children’s mother to correct the problem. On 6-24-2019 officers spoke with the mother of a juvenile who reported that her son had ran away from home. The juvenile had previously run away, but was located by officers and returned home. The juvenile was entered into a law enforcement database as missing.
On 6-13-2019 officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. 6th St, to investigate a possible assault. Officers spoke with a male at the residence who stated that a female was babysitting his children and had struck them out of anger. After speaking with the children and the babysitter it did not appear that any charges would be pursued. On 6-14-2019 officers were sent to the 900 block of Spencerville Rd, in reference to a missing juvenile complaint. Officers got the information the juvenile and he was entered into a law enforcement database as being missing. On 6-17-2019 the juvenile was located staying at a friend’s residence. He was picked up and returned to his mother.
On 5-22-2019 officers met with a male at the police department who wished to report a theft. The male told officers that a license plate was removed from his vehicle. On 5-22-2019 officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Scott St. Upon arrival officers spoke with a male who stated that his ex-girlfriend had taken his van without permission and had caused damage to the interior. The male was advised of the victim filing procedure in Allen County if he wished to pursue charges.
On 5-14-2019 officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Marsh Ave, to investigate a Burglary complaint. Officers met with the complainant and found that a back patio door glass had been broken out at the vacant residence. It is suspected that a previous tenant at the residence caused the damage. The incident remains under investigation. On 5-14-2019 officers responded to the 900 block of Superior St, in reference to a dispute. Officers arrived and spoke with a male and female at the residence, who are brother and sister. Both stated that they had a disagreement, but that no physical violence had taken place. No charges were filed at this time.
On 5-1-2019 an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. During the investigation of the traffic stop officers found the driver, 22 year old Jeremy Dunbar of Delphos, to be operating the vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Dunbar was issued a citation for an FRA Suspension and will appear in Lima Municipal Court to face the charge.
