The Lima campus began its fall semester on Tuesday, and the university is holding events throughout the week to help students feel comfortable and excited about the semester.

Ohio State Lima hosting area students and their parents at an open house to answer all their questions about attending the Lima campus and more. There are 13 majors that can be completed here in Lima and students can start any of the 200-plus majors offered in Columbus at the Lima campus. They hope these sessions bring in more Buckeyes.
Students as well as community members locked arms as they walked across campus, showing a silent message of unity. Event organizers say that they want students and the next generation to not forget to use their voice and to never be complacent when it comes to having your voice heard.

This month, the hospital installed a safe haven baby box on their campus. When a mother has no option but to surrender her infant, she can leave it in the box and a silent alarm will be triggered. The box is temperature controlled, and Mercy Health campus police will retrieve the baby in less than a minute. Sarah Bassitt completed a study showing that the Lima population has risk factors that might lead a woman to circumstances where she feels she has to give her baby up, such as the number of residents that are living below the poverty line or are undereducated.
Around 100 students took their first steps in their educational career at Bluffton University on Friday. It's move-in day for about a little more than half of the 170 freshmen that will be starting at the university this fall. Bluffton students were welcomed to the campus with signs and some of the student-athletes helped them move into their dorm rooms. Then when their parents leave, the current students and university staff have a lot of activities planned to make Bluffton feel like home.

Around 20 high school students came to the campus to talk to Ohio State faculty and students about the different things that the program has to offer. Plus, also they also took part in a leadership activity and learned about all the honors classes offered. The university wants the students to understand there are a lot of opportunities to engage and excel on the Lima campus.
