The city has five active neighborhood associations, and they are being highlighted in the "Bridge the City" video that explains what they do in the community. Like many other non-profit organizations, they are seeing a decline in the number of people wanting to participate, and they hope this video will catch the attention of some people.

February 22, 2024 Press Release from the City of Findlay: Findlay, Ohio- February 22, 2024: The City of Findlay and Findlay Shade Tree Commission have allocated a total of $100,000 in ARPA funds to utilize for community tree planting in calendar year 2024. Trees can be planted in property owners’ front yards in locations that are compliant with the Findlay Shade Tree Ordinance Chapter 913. The Findlay Public Works Department and Shade Tree Commission members will assist interested property owners in determining location, compliance, and recommended tree species for the location. Trees will be planted by Public Works Department employees during the spring and fall. Requests will be taken on a continual basis.

Central Avenue between Elm Street and Wayne Street will get a whole new look starting this spring. It will remain one-way to the north but will only be one lane of travel. There will be angled parking, new sidewalks, and street lighting along with a bike lane. City engineers say this will improve the safety of the corridor.

The mayor of Pandora and village administrators shoveled the first piles of dirt at the site for a nearly 2.5 million dollar water tower. The new two-hundred-thousand-gallon elevated storage tower will be constructed just east of the Basinger Road and Welty Street intersection with brand-new electrical components, incidentals, and a submersible mixer.
