The Ohio House this week unveiled its version of the state’s two-year budget, which does not include Gov. Mike DeWine’s proposed tax and fee increases on marijuana, tobacco and sports betting to fund various projects and tax credits.

As they position themselves for a possible new domed stadium, the Cleveland Browns are renaming their current one. The NFL team announced a 20-year agreement with Huntington National Bank, a partnership that includes naming rights.
The CBS Network has chosen the Cincinnati Bengals/Baltimore Ravens NFL game to be shown on CBS Lima on Sunday, January 8th at 1 p.m. This decision is out of Your Hometown Stations' control as we had requested to air the Cleveland Browns/Pittsburgh Steelers game. CBS denied that request and informed us that game will only be seen in the Cleveland/Youngstown TV markets in Ohio.
It was not just the Cleveland Browns who had a better season this year. Their Backers did as well.
The Lima area Browns Backers managed to raise $10,528 through their fundraisers. All of that money will go back into the community, but they took some time to acknowledge four of their bigger donations at Paddy Mac's on Sunday evening. Deb's Dogs, Bittersweet Farms, Hunting with Heroes, and the South Side Spartan Boxing Club were recognized.
They managed to raise twice as much this past season than the one before, in part because the Browns had a better season.
