July 24, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol: TOLEDO—The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a commercial injury crash on US Route 20, near milepost 25, in Amboy Township, Fulton County. The crash occurred on July 24, 2024, at approximately 02:44 a.m. The crash and clean-up have US Route 20 closed in both directions. A 2020 Freightliner semi operated by Furkat Rahimov, age 46, of Brooklyn, New York, was eastbound on US Route 20. Darrell Whatton, age 60, of Toledo, Ohio, was westbound on US Route 20 in a 2009 Kenworth semi.

The West Street Bridge over the Ottawa River is getting replaced, with construction slated to begin on April 1, 2024. West Street between North Shore Drive and South Shore Drive will be closed for 150 days during the construction. The portion of the Rotary Riverwalk there will also be closed, with detours posted. City engineers say it is time to address the bridge.

March 25, 2024 Press Release from the Ohio Department of Transportation: LIMA, Ohio (Monday, March 25, 2024) The following work is anticipated to affect highways in Putnam County. All outlined work is weather permitting. State Route 66 southbound over U.S. 24 will close Wednesday, March 27, for 10 days for concrete pavement repair.

This Thursday and Friday the Indiana and Ohio Railroad will be reconstructing the crossing on North Street at Sugar Street. It is an at grade crossing that will be fixed with the construction. Detours for westbound traffic begins at Roberts Road and for eastbound traffic it is at Jackson Street. The crossing is scheduled to back open sometime on Friday.
