While the school year is winding down for local schools, the work is just beginning for Shawnee's new superintendent. Don Diglia was named to the post on Tuesday, and Wednesday was his first day on the job. Diglia served as Elida's superintendent for 10 years and 6 years at Ayersville; he took 2 years off before going for the Shawnee job. He says it is like a homecoming because he started his administrative career at Shawnee as an assistant principal.
