Generations of families called the Lincoln Park area home and that special bond has been celebrated each summer for years. Friends returned to Lincoln Park from the Lima area from around the state, and as far away as Texas on Sunday.

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Bellefontaine Avenue. A motorcycle driver was heading west and was struck by a vehicle that turned in front of them as the vehicle was turning into a parking lot. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. The crash report is not complete and names have not been released.

The police department not yet releasing many details, but they were on scene behind a home on Lima's east side, around 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Police at the location just off of Bellefontaine Avenue reportedly searching for a suspect in an alleged bank robbery on Lima's east side earlier in the day. We will have additional details as the police department releases them.

The Bloods and Crips have been replaced by smaller local groups known as "East Side"  and "Cash Crew". 

It seems as if shootings in Lima have become more and more common. What's even more alarming is that teens seem to be involved in almost all of them.
