Allen County administration building construction on schedule

The new administration building marks the first phase of a broader effort to reconfigure the locations of county offices and courtrooms. Once county departments have moved into the new facility, interior renovations to the historic courthouse will begin. Those upgrades will allow all county courts to be consolidated into one location.

The two elevators are located in the jail and are used for transport. They will be replaced one at a time so there will be one working during the project. It’s estimated to cost 517-thousand dollars with 250-thousand dollars coming from the state and additional funding from the CARES Act dollars. The project is scheduled to be done by the end of this year or the beginning of 2022.
