An 8-year-old boy from Bluffton had the opportunity of a lifetime after winning the Armstrong Air and Space Museum’s “First Flight” contest. Hudson Warwick and his family traveled to Neil Armstrong Airport in New Knoxville, where he flew inside a 1928 Ford Tri-Motor airplane. It’s the same type of aircraft as Neil Armstrong first flew in as a young boy back in July 1936.

The Armstrong Air & Space Museum has announced its “First Flight” contest, offering a free once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for one lucky child and one accompanying parent or guardian to experience their first flight aboard a historic Ford Tri-Motor airplane.
