Thunderstorms brought heavy rain and quarter-size hail to parts of Lima Wednesday morning, causing flooding in several areas. A truck pulling a trailer became stuck in rising water at the Metcalf Street railroad underpass before Lima fire and police closed the area.

The National Weather Service is projecting 4-6 inches of rainfall in Findlay and surrounding Northwest Ohio Counties beginning Wednesday afternoon through the weekend.
A sudden downpour of rain in our area Monday afternoon causing some problems on roadways. The large amount of rain in a short period of time was too much for some roadways and underpasses. Two vehicles got stuck in high water at the South Metcalf railroad underpass. Everyone was able to get out safely. The city and county crews were busy blocking off streets and rural roadways covered by flash flooding until the water was able to recede.
