LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Thunderstorms continued through the region Wednesday, with parts of Lima getting slammed by heavy rain and hail.

Just before 10 a.m., the station was getting a deluge, with rain coming down in buckets. Then the hail began, with many people across the area reporting hail up to quarter size coming down. With the heavy rain, several areas in the city are prone to flooding, and the Metcalf Street railroad underpass didn't disappoint.

Water flowed into the dip, and a truck pulling a trailer was caught in the rising water. Lima fire and police responded and closed Metcalf until the water receded.
