After years of planning, work will soon begin on Allen County's new administration building. The county commissioners' broke ground on the nearly 17-million-dollar project. The new building will not only be the future home of the commissioners but also other county offices like the auditor, treasurer, veterans' services, and more. The state-of-the-art building will not only be a great asset for the residents of Allen County but also for the departments that will be making it their new home.

September 9, 2024, Press Release from the Findlay Family YMCA: FINDLAY, Ohio (Sept. 9, 2024): Findlay Family YMCA’s Early Learning Center (ELC) groundbreaking ceremony, held Sept. 9, proved to be an “awwww” inspiring experience, with some of the youngest Child Development Center students turning the first ceremonial shovelfuls of dirt where their new center will be built. The $10 million, 20,500-square-foot center is expected to open by early fall 2025. It represents the first phase of a transformative two-phase Stronger Together Capital Campaign centered on community partnerships, growth, and enhanced well-being. At the ceremony, high expectations and excitement were directed toward the future ELC. CEO Stephanie Parsons told the crowd that the ELC will serve as the ultimate launching pad for the children who will benefit from its many services.

July 5, 2024, Press Release from the YMCA of Greater Dayton: Minster, OH – 07/05/2024 – A groundbreaking ceremony will take place on July 22nd at 8:30 a.m. for the $3.6 million expansion project at the Grand Lake Health/Premier Health YMCA (4075 Wuebker Rd, Minster, OH 45865). Once completed, the sports complex will provide a second full-sized gym, an additional basketball court, 2 volleyball courts, and 3 pickleball courts. The gymnasium will have multipurpose surfacing to better accommodate indoor basketball, soccer, and other sports. In addition to the sports complex, a new, state-of-the-art fitness center will be constructed to better serve members of the community.
