Findlay City Schools was the victim of a hoax call about a person with a gun at Northview Elementary. The police say an unknown male caller contacted the Veterans Crisis Line Friday morning, saying a person with a gun was at the entrance of the school. The school went into lockdown, and officers checked the entire inside and outside of the school and found nothing.
An 11-year-old girl was arrested for making a hoax call about a person with a gun at her school. Findlay Police officers were called out to Donnell Middle School around 11 a.m. Thursday, after a child called 9-1-1 and said someone at the school had a gun and hung up. The school went into lockdown, but police found there was no active emergency at the school, so they searched for the source of the call.
The school has been cleared, multiple times. There is no active shooter and there is no evidence that there had ever been one at the school. There were absolutely no injuries. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation of this false reporting. If you have any information please contact the Allen County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.
