There are a variety of ways to raise money, but 16 year-old Ciera Clevenger thought that a walk-a-thon would be the best way to raise money for hurricane victims in Haiti.

Attorney General DeWine is asking Ohioans to be careful when donating to Hurricane Matthew charities. After the destructive hurricane, many con artists and scammers are pretending to be charity organizations and are asking for donations and then keeping the money for themselves.

As Hurricane Matthew continues to batter the east coast, the local Red Cross chapter plans on sending volunteers to help aid victims of the storm.

People who are interested in becoming a volunteer for disasters like Hurricanee Matthew can receive disaster training.  The training is free to anyone interested - all they have to do is visit the local Red Cross chapter and ask how to get started.
