An annual bake sale not only helps fill a Valentine’s Day sweet tooth, but keeps children and mothers who are incarcerated connected. The program is called Isiah’s Hope and has been going on since 2016. Judy Frisby took her grandson Isiah to visit his mother in prison and they notice that some of the children are able to only do visitations one time a year, usually around Christmas. Isiah remarked that all kids need to see their mothers and the non-profit was born. They hold an annual bake sale to raise money to help transport kids and their care givers to Dayton and Marysville to visit their mothers or set up video visits at Forest Park United Methodist Church. Frisby sees the benefit that the visitations have in her family.
