How your flag should be flown during Donald Trump's inauguration has been a big topic of discussion. Since the death of former president Jimmy Carter on December 29th, flags have been flown at half-staff to honor the former president. The U.S. flag code says it should be lowered for 30 days to honor current or former presidents; the order from President Biden will last through Donald Trump's inauguration day. Many state governors nationwide have ordered their citizens to raise their flags to be flown at full-staff for Trump's inauguration next Monday.
