The trial run began on Thursday and there’s no timetable being set. The city wants to see how these goats do in the small lagoon on the south side of the lake. For $15 a day per goat, Cox will have them roaming about from morning to evening. He hopes people enjoy watching them on their walks through the park but asks you don’t bother them. Their health is his priority.

The Ottawa River Coalition has decided to dedicate the new year to bringing school to the river.

For this year's special project, the ORC has decided to put a focus on getting area students to experience the Ottawa River. While the coalition extends the offer toe experience the river to all area schools, sometimes things like the cost of transportation or for a substitute teacher or teacher's aide keep the school from making the trip.

The coalition wanted to focus on this because so many students pass by the river every day but do not know much about it.
