“Well, it's basically like a buddy's program where us eighth graders, we go down to the kindergarten room, and we sort of like make designs with the kids, and we like to spend time with them, so then they're just not stuck in class all day, so they can just have some fun,” said Matthew Askins, an eighth-grade student.

“That’s ultimately what I decided to do was go work for Crown, because while I was in UNOH, I went for automotive high performance diesel and alternative fuels. And now I became a welder, because I fell in love with that welding and fabrication aspect,” said Cherokee Whitenight, lead welder at Crown Equipment Corporation.

Our viewers have often wondered how schools make their decisions on school closings especially with cold weather coming. For Jill Ackerman and Lima City Schools it's all about the wind chill. Ackerman said the district monitors the weather all week and if there is a wind chill advisory, action will surely take place.
