First Responders and athletes from around Allen County come together to help grant wishes to kids in our area.

The Allen County Sharks, Lima Police and Fire and the Fire Departments from Shawnee and American Townships laced up to raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.    Make-a-Wish is known for granting children with life-threatening illnesses, a dream come true.  A majority of medical experts believe a "Wish" can be responsible for making kids feel stronger, more determined to fight their illness. The local police and fire departments came out to help make sure that those kids’ wishes come true.  

A Spencerville boy gets to travel in style thanks to Make-A-Wish, and it was a wish that will bring smiles to his face for years to come. Our Kaylee Bowers has the story. 

The Lima Police Department and the Lima Fire Department did a little bit more than save lives Friday night as they helped make wishes come true.
