Con artists may try to get money from you or ask for your personal information to try and steal your identity. Survivors of the March 14 tornadoes in Auglaize, Crawford, Darke, Delaware, Hancock, Licking, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Richland and Union counties should be aware that fraud and scams can occur anytime.

March 27, 2024 Press Release from the Office of Governor Mike DeWine: (COLUMBUS, Ohio)— Governor Mike DeWine announced that Indian Lake State Park will re-open on Friday, March 29 following damage from the tornado and severe storms that struck Logan County on March 14^th. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of ODNR staff, local community members, and volunteer groups from across Ohio, this beloved recreation destination is ready to welcome back visitors well ahead of start of the summer season.

Students at Indian Lake Local Schools resumed classes this past Wednesday following the deadly tornado on March 14th. Indian Lake Local Schools were closed that Friday, Monday, and Tuesday after the EF-3 tornado ravaged the Lakeview and Russells Point communities with school officials transforming Indian Lake High School into a community shelter and a focal point for nearby residents to obtain recovery supplies. At a press conference this past Friday, Indian Lake Superintendent, Rob Underwood, shared updates with the media on how the reopening process is going.
