LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Finance Committee gathered to discuss the Mayor's 2025 budget estimate.
It's no secret that things are happening in Lima, and it's only going to get better. That from Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith as she puts out her year-end review. 7.5 million dollars has been invested in capital projects in the city in 2024. Those are investments in improving roads, public spaces, utilities, and more. It's not only physical improvements that are being done, but quality of life issues for residents are being addressed.
The mayor of Lima gave the Rotary Club an update on the city government's accomplishments over the last six months. Mayor Sharetta Smith explained to Rotarians Monday afternoon how her office has been working towards improving the local economy and quality of life. One of Smith's main areas of focus is handling the lack of safe and affordable housing. There are grant programs available to help both homeowners and landlords improve their properties. The city also has partnerships with local organizations to get homes that have fallen into disrepair back on the market.
