January 22, 2025, Press Release from Mercer Health: The Peoples Bank Co.’s generous donation of $150,000 to Mercer Health’s Childbirth Center Expansion will fund a mural wall as part of the ongoing expansion and renovation of the Childbirth Center located within Mercer County Community Hospital. This project aims to ensure safer spaces for cesarean procedures, particularly in emergency situations, provide additional space for the increasing number of births, enhance the nursery for unique situations, and continue offering local, compassionate, quality childbirth services.

November 5, 2024, Press Release from Mercer Health: Celina Insurance Group’s donation of $50,000 will be used towards a private patient suite that will be part of Mercer Health’s Childbirth Center expansion and renovation. The expansion and renovation of Mercer Health’s Childbirth Center, located within Mercer County Community Hospital, will ensure safer space for cesarean procedures, particularly during emergent situations; additional space for increasing births; an enhanced nursery allowing for dedicated space for unique situations; and continuation of local, compassionate, quality childbirth services.

Due to the outbreak of influenza throughout the state and in our area, Mercer Health is limiting visitors at Mercer County Community Hospital. According to a press release sent out by Mercer Health, the hospital is not allowing visitors under the age of 14, including siblings at the childbirth center.
