The City of Lima and the Allen County Dog Warden are hoping to increase the number of people taking advantage of their spay-neuter assistance program. This is the second year for the voucher program to help reduce pet overpopulation.

April 2, 2024 Press Release from the City of Lima: The Spay and Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) is designed to assist Lima residents with voluntary sterilization of companion animals as a proactive approach to controlling pet overpopulation. This assistance program will give first priority to low-income residents, but all residents in need of assistance will be considered.
In an attempt to keep the pet population down the Auglaize County Humane Society is offering a free rebate voucher to be used at local participating veterinarians. February is national Spay and Neuter month and spay days is back for its 4th year.
