March is developmental disabilities awareness month, and the Ohio Early Intervention along with the Allen County Board of DD are taking steps to help families ensure their child is developmentally on track. On Tuesday afternoon at Marimor School, free community developmental screenings were held for children ages birth to five years. These screenings assessed various aspects of development including speech, hearing, vision, dental, autism, gross and fine motor skills. Through early intervention, the Board of DD says there are plenty of resources available for parents.
