Bluffton is also introducing multiple scholarship programs that range from several thousand dollars to full tuition, helping remove financial barriers for qualifying students.

Dr. Alex Sider, president of Bluffton University, said the goal is to create an environment where students can thrive.

“What we want is for a student who comes to Bluffton to experience Bluffton as a place where they can plug in and thrive and know that they are cared about and cared for.”

Cates visited the program to talk about and observe the new ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program.
