The Findlay Police Department is pleased to announce the hiring of two new police officers, Brooklynn Downing and Emily Bornhorst. Both were officially sworn in this morning by Mayor Christina Muryn.

April 9, 2024 Press Release from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT): LIMA, Ohio - (Tuesday, April 9, 2024)  The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) invites the public to hear details of a project that will reconstruct the interchange of County Road 99 at Interstate 75, Findlay. A public meeting regarding the project will be held Tuesday, April 16, at 1 p.m. at Owens Community College, 3200 Bright Road, Findlay; Community Education and Wellness Center, Room 111. A formal presentation will begin at 1 p.m. followed by a question-and-answer session with project staff. Details of the sequence of construction, how traffic will be maintained, and how businesses and properties will be accessed during construction will be shared during the meeting.

Several months of planning has created a partnership to benefit students at both the University of Findlay and Owens Community College. Thursday, the presidents of both institutions signed a dual-admissions agreement creating the Oiler Express. It will allow admission for students into both schools and chart their path to a bachelor's degree from Findlay while beginning the ride at Owens Community College. Each semester, credits from Owens will be transferred seamlessly over to Findlay helping students achieve an associates and bachelors degree.
