Those with developmental disabilities got a chance to get out on the water and have some fun today. The Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District teamed up with the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities for an adaptive kayaking event at Ottawa Metro Park. The adaptive kayaks come with additional safety methods and equipment, such as paddle holders and stabilizers, to make kayaking for all residents more accessible. The event also had karaoke, a photo booth, and the beetle van from the parks district for all to enjoy.
