The City of Lima's Human Resources Director talked to council members about the upcoming process of selecting Lima's next Chief of Police. At Monday night's Human Resources Committee meeting, it was announced that current Lima Police Chief, James Baker, will plan to retire on July 7th. According to Lima Human Resources Director, Della Bradford, there are two Majors with the Lima Police Department eligible to take the Police Chief promotional exam. If one or both of the Majors decide not to run for Police Chief, the City of Lima will provide Lieutenants the chance to take the exam. May 28, 2024, Press Release from the University of Northwestern Ohio: The University of Northwestern Ohio’s 104th annual commencement exercises will be held on Sunday, June 9, at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center. A total of 742 graduates from the College of Applied Technologies, College of Business, College of Health Professions, College of Occupational Professions, and Graduate College will receive 919 diplomas and degrees. 142 students have earned two or more credentials.
