LIMA (WLIO) - One of Lima's best-kept secrets is located directly downtown.
The Adult Learning Center located on West Spring Street in Lima is home to two programs, including "Aspire," designed to teach adults of all ages how to read to succeed and learn to earn at no cost.
Aspire readies adults without a high school diploma to obtain their GED, on top of helping those get into post-secondary education.
At this time, the center is currently having their open summer orientations for their upcoming courses being taught in the fall.

"We help those individuals get them where they are to the next level. If they have dropped out of school, we are looking for them to achieve their high school equivalency or their GED. If they do have their high school diploma, we are looking for them to become college- and credit-ready, so they are not trapped in debits or credits forever and ever. We are helping them get from point A to point B," said Laura Ball, the program coordinator of Aspire.
