CRIDERSVILLE, Ohio (WLIO) — Jeep enthusiasts and food lovers alike are invited to Cridersville on Saturday, April 25, for a community event combining dozens of vehicles and a wide variety of food options.
More than 30 food trucks and dozens of Jeeps are expected to line Main Street and gather at the Cridersville Volunteer Fire Department for the event, which serves as a fundraiser for the department.
Proceeds from the event will support training, equipment, fuel and other operational needs for the fire department.
Organizer and firefighter-paramedic Jeff Reichelderfer said the event began as a way to help food truck operators during the pandemic and has grown significantly in the years since.
"When we first started, it was because of covid. Lot of the food trucks didn't have anywhere to go. So we started with like five, and it just grew from there."
In addition to food trucks and Jeeps, the event will feature crafters, vendors and a cornhole tournament. Activities are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and continue through 7 p.m.
