On July 11, 2024, the Office of the Ohio Inspector General and the Ohio State Highway Patrol received a notification of suspected illegal activity from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (ODDD) involving Columbus Developmental Center (CDC) Residential Care Supervisor 1 John Flemon.

Tyler Dunlap entered a plea of guilty to three misdemeanor counts of assault, misconduct at an emergency, and resisting arrest. Dunlap entered his resignation from the Lima Police Department on December 30th of 2022. According to the Lima Law Director's Office, court records indicate that Dunlap obstructed an emergency call in Auglaize County.

The Ada Exempted Village School District Board of Education approved a resolution and release agreement with Superintendent Meri Skilliter. The approval also included the acceptance of her resignation effective at the close of business on July 31st, 2021.  The board will now meet next on July 29th, where it is expected the process of the hiring of a new superintendent will start. 

The City of Lima is now looking for a new human resources director after the mayor receives a letter of resignation.
