City and county officials, staff from ACCS, and concerned citizens gathered for the agency’s annual flag-raising ceremony to mark the beginning of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Coniah Burklund and Madilyn Grundisch assisted the Lima Fire Department in raising the flag.

One Lima City Council member is working toward improving the relationship between Lima housing tenants and their landlords. Sixth Ward Councilman Derry Glenn held a community meeting Tuesday evening for tenants and landlords at the Wingate Hotel in Lima to initiate a conversation on how to address complaints received about housing situations in Lima's Sixth Ward.
4-H is more than ribbons and awards, and Katie Honigford finds out that it is about friendships, self-improvement, and going above and beyond to promote the agriculture industry. Gracie Casebolt has been competing for 8 years at the fair and she has taken her talents nationwide to win top honors at other competitions. She will be joining the Texas A & M division one equestrian team this fall. But coming back to the fair is always something special to her.
