Rhodes State College will be purchasing new equipment for their new semiconductor certificate program coming to campus. The State of Ohio awarded Rhodes State a $113,000 grant to invest in the new technology. The technology consists of various vacuum and gas equipment that will allow students to learn and train in realistic semiconductor manufacturing environments.

The Lima Rotary Club got an update on the ongoing downtown project for Rhodes State College. Rhodes President Dr. Cynthia Spiers spoke to the club to show some of the features planned at the Center for Health Science Education and Innovation. Spiers went on to say they plan on breaking ground for the project in either late January or early February next year. Part of the delay in getting the ball rolling for this project involved Rhodes making sure they secured the space needed.
