For years, Rhodes State College has helped provide opportunities for area students to learn more about skills in the STEM field, and now they've received some funding to help continue that. The college has been awarded grant money from the Gene Haas Foundation for scholarships that will refund registration fees for students that successfully complete one of their Youth Computer Numerical Control, or CNC, boot camps.

October 9, 2024, Press Release from Rhodes State College: LIMA, Ohio October 9, 2024-- Rhodes State College is excited to announce a generous grant from the Gene Haas Foundation dedicated to fostering skills in the machining industry. The funding will provide scholarships for students pursuing CNC machining technology, waiving registration fees for select mini-camps and bootcamps until capacity is reached.
