February 10, 2025, Press Release from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR): COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife stocked more than 46 million fish in Ohio’s lakes, ponds, rivers and streams in 2024.
The Allen Lima Leadership class gets a hands-on lesson about the importance of keeping our waterways clean. The class joined the Ottawa River Coalition to collect samples from the river to see what's living in it. The health of the river can be determined by the different insects and animals that are found living there. The environment is just one of the topics the Allen Lima Leadership group will study during their year-long class.
