The State Road Bridge was built in 1948 and has become in disrepair in recent years and will be replaced with construction slated for June and completion in October. There are federal and state dollars in place to do the project with a very minimum local match. The engineer’s estimate was 1.4-million dollars, and the project was awarded to RG Zachrich Construction Inc. for just under 1.2 million dollars. Commissioners say it’s important to get this project completed.
