Employees of the Ohio Department of Transportation were given the opportunity to showcase their skills as equipment operators. To find out who is the best of the best, 22 snowplow drivers and 38 loader drivers had to maneuver their equipment through a series of obstacles that mimic what they may encounter on the job.

Ohio Department of Transportation employees arrived in Allen County on Wednesday to take part in the agency's annual event. Drivers hit the track for ODOT's annual "Roadeo" at the District 1 garage. Deputy director Chris Hughes said it's a time drivers can show off their abilities in two competitions, the truck, and loader. 42 drivers competed in the truck event while 37 competed in the loader event.
