The Ohio Department of Transportation District One held its annual Roadeo.
The Roadeo is a competition between ODOT operators from each of ODOT's District 1 eight-county region. During the competition, operators are required to maneuver a truck or loader through a series of obstacle courses, designed to mimic what they encounter on the job.
"For us 30 years ago it was an opportunity to figure out who was out best CDL driver is and show off their skills and its just evolved into a fun event that we can just enjoy, enjoy the weather, enjoy everyone competing," said Rod Nuveman, Highway Management Administrator.
Defiance County took home top honors at this year's Roadeo. This annual event also features entries from area high schools that participated in this year's Paint the Plow contest. The winning school will be announced May 7, 2018.
